About Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Watches

The Omega Aqua Terra hails from the esteemed Seamaster collection, a series of water-resistant sport watches that honor the brand's nautical legacy. Although the Seamaster line has been in production since 1948, it was not until 2002 that the Aqua Terra made its debut.

The introduction of the Omega Aqua Terra collection in 2002 sparked the interest of collectors due to its masterful fusion of refinement and technical ingenuity. These timepieces were created for individuals seeking a seamless blend of sleek style and enhanced performance that is built to endure a lifetime and beyond. Rooted in the heritage of the Omega Seamaster family, the Aqua Terra watches are meticulously crafted to tackle the challenges of both land and sea, hence their name.

Every Aqua Terra timepiece is distinguished by its teak-patterned dial, reminiscent of luxury sailboats, and its robust construction, incorporating water resistance and anti-magnetic properties. Available in a range of options from classic stainless steel models to more luxurious versions with gold accents, the Aqua Terra collection offers choices to cater to individual preferences. Its added versatility in style makes these watches effortlessly adaptable to both formal and casual ensembles.

Balancing functionality, sportiness, and elegance, the Omega Aqua Terra presents a watch to fulfill every requirement.

Popular Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Watches

Aqua Terra 150M

The Aqua Terra 150M forms the core of the collection, operating as Omega's most adaptable everyday luxury watch. Buyers can choose between 38mm and 41mm case profiles, both equipped with the line’s signature horizontal teak-pattern dials and a standard date display. Built around highly accurate Master Chronometer movements, these models command consistent demand because they deliver serious mechanical reliability in a clean, understated format suitable for daily wear.

Aqua Terra Shades

The Aqua Terra Shades collection modernizes the standard lineup by introducing vibrant dial colors and slightly scaled-down case dimensions. Omega shifted away from the traditional teak pattern, opting instead for sunray-brushed dials in highly specific tones like terracotta, saffron, sandstone, and bay green. Available primarily in 34mm and 38mm formats, this series draws heavy collector interest for bringing contemporary, color-focused design to a historically conservative sports watch platform.

Aqua Terra Worldtimer

The Aqua Terra Worldtimer stands as one of the most mechanically complex models in the family, engineered specifically for frequent travelers. The standout element is its intricately textured titanium world map dial, which is complemented by a full 24-hour city ring that enables the wearer to monitor multiple global time zones at once. Driven by a specialized Master Chronometer movement, it combines advanced horological functionality with the standard Aqua Terra case architecture.

Aqua Terra Golf Editions

Omega developed the Aqua Terra Golf Editions to reflect the brand’s deep partnerships within professional golf. These models are differentiated from the standard production run by sport-oriented design updates, which often include striped NATO straps, lightweight titanium construction, and unique color accents on the seconds hands and dial text. Closely linked to brand ambassadors like Rory McIlroy, these specific references offer a slightly more aggressive, athletic visual profile.

Aqua Terra GMT

The Aqua Terra GMT integrates a highly practical dual-time-zone complication directly into the standard case platform. Key variations, including the standard GMT references and the titanium GoodPlanet editions, feature a dedicated 24-hour hand and inner dial track. This movement functionality allows international travelers to easily monitor a second time zone without sacrificing the robust water resistance or clean visual aesthetic that defines the broader Aqua Terra collection.

Aqua Terra Small Seconds

The Aqua Terra Small Seconds alters the traditional dial layout by moving the running seconds to a dedicated sub-dial at the six o'clock position. This simple structural shift gives the watch a significantly more refined, vintage-leaning aesthetic. Omega produces these models in both 38mm and 41mm case dimensions, offering buyers everything from standard stainless steel configurations to solid 18k Sedna Gold references equipped with complex Master Chronometer engines.

Popular Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Dial Colors

Dial color serves as the primary deciding factor for most buyers exploring the Aqua Terra lineup. Because the core case architecture and Master Chronometer movements remain largely consistent across the 150M collection, collectors look directly to the dial to differentiate their pieces. Omega heavily utilizes both the signature horizontal teak pattern and modern sunray-brushed finishes to change the entire visual profile of the watch. Certain core colors pull consistent, heavy market demand, while specialized dial tones often dictate exactly how fast a specific reference moves off the secondary market.

  • Green (Ref. 220.10.41.21.10.001) – A new, organic interpretation of classic neutrals, while preserving the collection’s signature horizontal teak pattern.

  • Blue (Ref. 220.10.41.21.03.001): – The ultimate Aqua Terra colour, it directly evokes the deep maritime heritage of the Seamaster family.

  • Black (Ref. 220.10.41.21.01.001) – The most formal, dress-minded option in the standard sports range, it provides the highest contrast and legibility.

  • White (Ref. 220.10.41.21.02.001) – Usually paired with blackened or orange hands and indices, for a very legible, sporty look.

  • Silver (Ref. 220.10.41.21.02.002) – A monochrome, highly versatile look that plays well with factory steel bracelets and aftermarket leather straps.

  • Grey (Ref.220.10.41.21.06.001) – Features a subtle ruthenium or slate finish, frequently accented with blue hands and dial text for a sharp, modern contrast.

Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Testimonials

5 stars

This was my first experience purchasing from SwissWatchExpo and it could not have been better. Justin was extremely professional and helpful throughout and the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra that I purchased is in "as new" condition; just beautiful!

5 stars

SWE, by all measures, it appears that the Omega, Seamaster Aqua Tera, which I recently purchased for my wife hit the mark! This watch is exactly what she has been hoping for, for over a year now. However, the suggested retail price from Omega had been pretty lofty! I was stunned when I saw this Omega, on sale from SWE, for a price that was a much below the suggested price from Omega. I called SWE and spoke to Jason, who was very helpful and even Facetimed me and gave me a personal closeup view of the timepiece. After reading the multitude of positive reviews on Yelp, I cast any doubts aside and decided to purchase the timepiece from SWE. Two days later, the Omega arrived. It was even nicer than it looked on Facetime! This Omega came with the original box and papers from Omega. To my surprise, the watch was originally purchased new, only four months prior (in December of 2023)! I don't believe that it was ever worn before it arrived at my house. Shortly thereafter, I surprised my wife (on the occasion of her new promotion), with the Rose-Colored Omega Aqua Tera, from SWE. Needless to say, she loved it! Thank you to SWE and Jason, for providing an exemplary timepiece at an unbelievable price!

I recently purchased an Omega Aqua Terra from SWE. I had a great purchase experience with the team from SWE - from the initial conversation with Ro to shipment queries with Deion. It is a beautiful time piece with original papers. I am glad to have come across SWE during my search in the U.S.

5 stars

Seamless transaction and absolutely love my 41.5mm Aqua Terra. Couldn't recommend highly enough, from pricing to customer service SWE gets top marks across the board.

5 stars

The overall buying experience was excellent. The Omega Aquaterra is my first Swiss watch. I will definitely purchase from Swiss Watch Expo again. Thanks

5 stars

This is the second watch that I have purchased from SWE. I had such a great experience in 2020 with a Rolex Submariner that I immediately went back to SWE when I decided to buy an Omega. SWE has an amazing selection of watches and they get new product all the time so that, if they don't have exactly what you want, wait a day or two and it will likely show up! I worked with Mitch, who does a terrific job, and bought an Omega Speedmaster but, when I got it, I didn't like it so I returned it. I then worked with the "Dynamic Duo" of Mitch and Blake and ended up with an Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra that is perfect. When SWE says "Mint", they mean it - the watch is like new. Very pleased. The end of the story - the return also went smoothly so it was another great experience from beginning to end.

Expert Opinion

“The Aqua Terra is arguably the single most practical watch Omega produces. It entirely removes the dive bezel of the 300M but keeps the 150 meters of water resistance and the heavily anti-magnetic Master Chronometer movement. When a client tells me they only want to own one luxury watch that they can wear in the boardroom on Tuesday and in the pool on Saturday, the Aqua Terra is the exact reference I pull from the case.”

Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Frequently Asked Questions

Is an Omega Aqua Terra watch a good investment?

We always recommend purchasing a watch for personal enjoyment rather than financial return, as market prices fluctuate and future appreciation is never guaranteed. That said, the Aqua Terra remains an absolute cornerstone of the Omega catalog, ensuring it maintains a highly dependable and stable baseline value across the pre-owned market.

How much does an Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra cost?

Pre-owned pricing relies heavily on the specific generation and movement. Early quartz models often trade between $1,500 and $2,000. Modern mechanical references with Co-Axial Master Chronometer movements tend to be in the $3,500-$5,500 range, with solid gold or complex Worldtimer models commanding much higher premiums.

What sizes does the Omega Aqua Terra come in?

Omega currently structures the core mechanical Aqua Terra collection around 38mm and 41mm case dimensions, accommodating the vast majority of wrist sizes. The contemporary Shades lineup introduces a smaller 34mm profile, while the highly complex Worldtimer pushes the case footprint out to a slightly larger 43mm diameter.

Is Aqua Terra a Good Investment?

Known as one of the best Omega watches for its value, the Omega Aqua Terra is a stunning watch with pleasing aesthetics and is durable for everyday wear.
